Welcome to MurmurType

By using MurmurType transcription software, you agree to these Terms of Service. MurmurType is developed and operated by Sagoskattis Ltd inc, a company registered in Cyprus.

Thanks for choosing MurmurType! By using our app, you're agreeing to play by these rules. We're a Cyprus-based company here to help you transcribe! 🎉

How MurmurType Works

MurmurType operates in three distinct modes, each with different privacy and functionality characteristics as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

Refund Policy

Our Guarantee

We offer a 14-day refund period (calculated in UTC) for app purchases. MurmurGate credits can be refunded for unused portions at any time. Purchased credits remain valid for one year from the date of purchase. Refunds are processed automatically through our payment provider (Polar) and result in immediate license revocation for app refunds. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 24-48 hours of approval.

Not happy with the app? Get a full refund within 14 days. Bought MurmurGate credits you didn't use? We'll refund the unused portion anytime. Just remember - credits expire after one year! 💸

How to Request a Refund

Refund requests should be submitted to miko@murmurtype.me. Automated processing typically completes within 24-48 hours.

Just email us at miko@murmurtype.me and we'll sort it out. Usually takes a day or two max! 📧

Subscription Plans & Licenses

Plan Types

We offer multiple subscription tiers and one-time purchase options:

  • Monthly Plan: $6.99/month - 6 cloud transcription hours, 3 devices
  • Annual Plan: $20/year - 30 cloud transcription min / month, 3 devices
  • Lifetime Plan: $70 one-time - Unlimited local transcription, 3 devices
  • Credit Top-ups: Available in 1, 10, 40, and 90-hour packages (valid for one year from purchase)

Pick what works for you! Go monthly, save with annual, or grab lifetime access. Need more hours? Top up anytime - just use them within a year! 🎯

Device Limits

All plans are limited to 3 devices per account. Device authorization is managed through our authentication service using device fingerprinting based on hardware identifiers and OS version.

Use MurmurType on up to 3 Macs. Switch devices anytime through your account! 💻

Trial Period

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to features. The trial is opt-in and expires automatically without charge or conversion to a paid plan.

Platform Support

MurmurType currently supports macOS 14.6 and later. Support for additional platforms is planned for future releases.

Mac-only for now (macOS 14.6+), but we're working on Windows and other platforms! 🖥️

Using MurmurType

Acceptable Use

You agree to use MurmurType only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for your use of transcriptions and ensuring you have the right to transcribe any audio content.

Use MurmurType responsibly! Make sure you have permission to transcribe any audio you process. 👍

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account and API keys
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations

Keep your login and API keys safe, and make sure you follow the law when using MurmurType! 🔐

Intellectual Property

MurmurType and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Sagoskattis Ltd inc and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We made MurmurType, so it's ours! But your transcriptions are yours. 📝

Service Availability

While we strive for 100% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to MurmurType. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

We try to keep MurmurType running 24/7, but sometimes things happen. We'll let you know if we need to make big changes! 🔧

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sagoskattis Ltd inc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of MurmurType.

We're not responsible if something goes wrong beyond our control. We'll do our best to help, but we can't guarantee perfection! ⚖️

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time.

Play nice or we might have to say goodbye. You can leave anytime you want though! 👋

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any legal stuff gets sorted out under Cyprus law. 🇨🇾
