We grant lifetime license holders the right to use MurmurType on up to 1 Mac device. All future updates are provided to you for free, however, we reserve the right to sell future updates at an extra cost.

Subscribers can use MurmurType on unlimited Mac devices. All future updates are provided in the duration of the subscription.

MurmurType transcribes your audio files into written text and can also translate the transcription into English. You are solely responsible for how you use the transcriptions.

MurmurType is currently in its beta phase. Please bear with us as we work through any software bugs to provide you with a seamless transcription experience.

When using MurmurType, all your data including API keys, transcription results, and audio files are stored locally on your Mac device. As you generate a murmur, your Mac sends a request directly to the OpenAI API endpoints using the API keys you provided. This communication is conducted using a secure HTTPS transport protocol. No middle server is involved, ensuring that no third party can access the requests or their content.
For subscription plan users, the requests are proxied through our server to the OpenAI server. This process allows us to manage available minutes for transcriptions. Please note that we neither log nor store any data from these requests. Our server purely forwards your requests to OpenAI's server while ensuring you have available transcription minutes.

The privacy policy for paid users remains largely the same as for free users. Any additional privacy aspects for paid users will be detailed in the future under this section.

• We use Amplitude to collect anonymous analytics data (number of daily visitors etc.).

• We use Paddle.com for processing payments for our premium features. We do not store any of your payment information.

• We use Setapp analytics in Setapp version in accordance to requirements
